Problem – Home deliveries are not being recorded on my Ring Doorbell Service

Some speculation includes avoiding detection, package theft, obscuring delivery times.  There are several possible reasons that delivery persons do not want to be seen. Although this is a ring doorbell problem, all devices in the home attached to the Wifi is affected when the signal is interrupted.

Below are two discussion strings that address the issue. There are more that you can Google of you choose.

Below are some links that provide more information that emerged in the past year as many were home and utilized home deliveries at an exponential rate.

Possible Solutions

After reviewing the material below, consider the following strategies to seek some resolution to the issue. Please consult you Wifi provider for assistance with any changes you may consider making.

  1. Consider checking your WiFi settings to ensure it is at the highest security setting.
  2. Consider contacting your WiFi network provider to see if they can provide a solution.
  3. Contact Ring Doorbell Support and document the events and ask them to seek a resolution for you. It represents  a flaw in the ring security system.  (Consider a Complaint in the Better Business Bureau if Ring Can’t Resolve it)
  4. Consider contacting the company that you ordered the product from and inform them that you suspect that their delivery person may possibly be using an illegal Wifi jamming device and this may impact future purchases from their business. Ask them to add a note to their delivery instruction reminding delivery companies that if this is occurring it is illegal.
  5. When you review your purchased product that was involved in the missed video notification, consider adding the incident in the notes to increase public awareness about this issue.

These are some links that may offer some strategic solutions.
